Box Hill BaBs

It is with great pleasure that Maternity Coalition announces a new initiative in the community. BaBs – Birthing and Babies Support Group is offering discussion, information, education and support for people regarding the issues of pregnancy, birth and parenthood. This is a free service.

The Box Hill BaBs group is meeting every Wed from 12.30 –2.30 during school term and creating a time and space for women to share their birth and life stories, to listen and learn from each other. There are also monthly guest speakers, focusing on a specific topic for discussion and sharing. The group has a facilitator, a back up facilitator, a midwife and a student midwife so that no matter who turns up there is a group ready and welcoming.

We strongly believe that there is a great need for women and their families to have the opportunity to come together such as BaBs and we hope that the word will get out about what is available. If you would like to attend, get further details, start your own BaBs group, have fliers to give out or want to get involved some other way please come along or give us a ring. We would love to hear from you.
